Every paycheck, Ben gets “fun money” to buy “himself” new toys. A few weeks ago, he bought a Drum kit. Ben and daddy play with the new toy:

Last weekend, we went to Orlando to build Ben a monkey named Bob. We are trying to give Ben a “lovey” to take along with him, sleep with, etc., to train him to sleep on his own. So far it’s not even close to working, but we now have a$23 stuff monkey!

Today we went to Flagler Beach with some friends and Bem got to dip his feet in the ocean. He was not a fan!

He can sit up on his own. He now sits in high chairs at restaurants. He’s been eating food for a few months. He scoots (a precursor to crawling I think). No teeth yet but soon. He approx. 17 pounds. His next doctor’s appointment is on Friday – I’m interested to see how tall he is. We saw another baby at a restaurant yesterday. She was half Ben’s size but 9 months old.

We’re working on sitting up… he’s doing pretty good!

Ben is now 5 months old. So far he loves green beans and bananas, hates carrots, and tolerates apples. He’s pretty happy baby.

So Ben officially hates carrots. And apples. And bananas. Basically, he’s not really into food. So we’re back to just the boob, and rice cereal when he’s in the mood for that.
