Ben can pop the top off a water bottle and drink. Now not to brag, but those are some motor skills right there.

Nanna filled Ben’s shirt with balls from his ball pit. She was trying to take a photo of it but her camera phone has a really long delay. Again, I was playing with the new camera so enjoy a few shots of the carpet!
Mom and Tom came out to see us a few weeks ago. We tried out our new video camera to capture some fun.
I’m outside sweeping the back patio. Ben’s outside with me. All of a sudden he walks up to the adirondack chair, climbs up into it, and kicks back:
Ben got a card for Valentine’s Day with a cute dog on the front and he loves “reading” it.
Granny Lauren spent the night last weekend and Ben enjoyed sleeping with her. He’s so peaceful when he’s sleeping… almost makes you forget when he’s awake… 🙂
A typical day at Granny’s includes…
Ben makes some funny faces when eating. If only he were as happy to eat carrots and pasta as he is Doritos and Cheerios…
It should come as not surprise to anyone who has seen me in the last year that not only have I not lost my baby weight (approx. 15 pounds), bout I’ve also gained additional weight (approx. 15 pounds). There are lots of things to blame it on: stress of being a first-time mom, stress of new stressful job, stress of new house, stress of not losing the original weight, being too tired from work/mommying/wifeing to do anything, poor eating habits… summary: stress, stress-inflicted fatigue, love of crap foods.
That’s why you don’t see any photos of me on here…
I resolve right now, for my own health and for my future with Ben and Blake, no more excuses! Let’s lose some weight!
However, these are some more excuses for my weight gain/lack of loss:
